I don't speak Russian. Did "ulimit" Linux command fix the problem?

In http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=30250&start=1288#lt is written, that after reindexing dictionaries by GoldenDict1.0.1-3xx only system limits (~1000) are leave. Solution of this problem is possible by running GD from script file like this (or after running "ulimit" Linux command but only in the same console):
#! /bin/sh
#
#
ulimit -Sn 8192
ulimit -Sn # for information if running program from console
{full path of program executable file}

The specified in this example numerical value of SOFTFDLIMITS parameter can accept values up to HARDFDLIMITS value specified in /etc/sysconfig/ulimit (changing of last value requires root privileges).
Running of GD in Autostart mode requires to change path to this script (for example, in kde3 case- in symbolic link $HOME/.kde/Autostart/goldendict)
If You have root privileges, You can specify in /etc/sysconfig/ulimit SOFTFDLIMITS. But in etc/initscript ulimit Sn must be before ulimit Hn!

Chulai, can you please update this portable build?
This will surely help in better testing of GD in linux and getting it ready for the release. From my side, I am happy to do the testing.

Yes, I'll try to update both, Linux and OS X builds this weekend. Is there any roadmap for the next final version?

I hope that we all are in agreement that a new official release is really needed. And hopefully it could happen soon.

https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/issues/134 to track. Let's see what ikm say.
