Dictionaries with a lot of entries can't be indexed

Postby netol » Sat Oct 20, 2012 12:47 am

HI,

Goldendict for android is almost perfect. The only problem I've had is that some big dictionaries, such as the Spanish -> English dictionary of Universidad de Granada ( http://eubd1.ugr.es/babylon1.htm ), can not be indexed.
In my Galaxy S the index process crashes, also in the Android emulator. In a Nexus 7 the index process doesn't start.

In the Desktop version of Goldendict the dictionary is loaded fine.

PS: Now the link is offline, but should be online soon. THe direct link is http://www.ugr.es/~alozano/Babylon/ASpa ... ionary.bgl

Regards,

I cannot index this dictionary on my Galaxy Note II with 2 GB of RAM too. So it seems that the problem is not due to lack of memory...

Maybe, but the last time I checked, this dictionary had 4477615 words.
Have you successfully indexed files like that with your mobile?
