Would be a cool feature indeed. Many people neglect TTS for the majority of these engines don't provide a good quality of pronunciation and make loads of mistakes. Still there are some wonderful exceptions such as IVONA TTS or Neospeech TTS (the latter is only for PC, alas).

I think TTS is not a good choice. TTS won't let you learn nuances and accents.

In case of IVONA TTS it strongly depends on the word itself. The wast majority is pronounced flawlessly. I was quite skeptical myself about possible use of TTS generation until I found some real things. Any TTS generator is not good to voice, say, a book, but a good generator is more than enough when you want to voice a word combination or a simple sentence. In this case even the intonation is rather appropriate. If you doubt it, then just check it out - there are fee fully functional demos.
I don't mean that a voice generator is better anyhow than an authentic audio record, but there are a lot of cases when words are not voiced at all. No word combinations are voiced as far as I know, if, certainly, we are not speaking about the LDOCE from the presently dead traduko site.

IVONA TTS is quite cool, I agree. I've tried it out, it is a decent tool, I'm much less skeptical now :) But I'd prefer Longman or Oxford pre-recorded files, especially in case of idioms, example sentences, rare words or nuances. They are not so space-consuming after all -- somewhat near 500 megabytes. My SD card is 16 gigs, I've got plenty of storage place there :)

But when there is no pre-recorded sounds IVONA could be a good option for single words or very short sentences when intonation accuracy is not so important.

TTS support is requested a lot - it will definitely be implemented in future versions.
