GD can't handle some "bword" links properly.

Postby zhangjinsong » Thu Sep 30, 2010 8:47 am

Symptom:
GD can't handle some "bword" links containing space properly.

Version:
GD: the latest git code (09-30-2010)
QT: 4.6.2
OS: Ubuntu 10.04

Procedure to reproduce:
1. Download FOLDOC dictionary from http://www.babylon.com/free-dictionaries/computer/computer-jargon/FOLDOC/29342.html, copy the bgl file extracted from the .exe file by 7z to any directory GD would search from;
2. Open GD, search "vi" from the FOLDOC dictionary in main window;
3. Click the link "Visual Interface", nothing would happen; but if you click the link "tool" before "Visual Interface", everything works well.

Yes, this is known, I think... Problem is, QtWebKit itself can't handle those. So they require preprocessing when the HTML is formed, which hasn't been addressed yet.

Thanks for the explanation.
So among all sorts of dictionary formats, it looks like GD support the dsl best, I'll try to change all my problematic dictionaries to dsl.
