Font size problem

Every time when I enter or double click on a new word, the font size of the explanation of this new word will just go back to the normal size , can't retain the zoomed size I set.
So every time I search a new word, I have to zoom in the font size again. That's annoying.

Version: Goldendict 1.0.1 on Centos 6.4

You're using an ancient version of GoldenDict.

Please consider building it from sources or you might try my builds (for CentOS as well) here:

thank you for your reply , but isn't v-1.0.1 the latest version?
I just build it from the newest official source 2 months ago.
Anyway, I'll try it again.

Yeah, it is the latest, but it is also an ancient one :) We made A LOT of progress since v 1.0.1 and currently almost ready to release version 1.5.

If you consider building your own version, use the official git repository:

Thank you for your quick reply.
You are such a nice man!

I build it again with the latest sources and it says "ao_Sample_Format has no member named "matrix"",
so I build it with the option "DISABLE_INTERNAL_PLAYER=1", and it succeeded.

But still , the font size issue is there.
I don't know if I'm clear. I'll illustrate it with pics later.

Yes, please do so, I'm having a bit of a hard time to understand the problem. :)

Ok, let me describe the problem step by step :
1. every time when I started the GoldenDict. the font size was the default size which was, let me assumed, size 5.
2. since the default font size was too small on my screen, I enlarged the font size to size 8.
3. I entered a new word, and the new articles of this word was represented in the main window with font size 5.
( --this is where the problem came up. the font size of the new articles was supposed to be size 8, not size 5. )
4. then, I issued a single click on the "+" button to enlarge the font size by 1. guess what? the font size was now 9 ( 8+1 ), not the expected 6 ( 5+1 ).

now you may understand the problem.

Now I understand. I have never encountered such weird problem. Maybe a bug in old Qt library? What does `qmake -v` prints for you?

But I have a workaround for you :) Just create a file named article-style.css in your ~/.goldendict folder and put something like this there:
Code: Select all
body
{
  font-size: 20px;
}

Naturally, you could adjust the size to your liking. In fact, you could style many other things too. Just press F12 in the GoldenDict window and see the HTML structure.

I use qmake-qt4:
Code: Select all
$ qmake-qt4 -v
QMake version 2.01a
Using Qt version 4.6.2 in /usr/lib64
$ rpm -q kernel
kernel-2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64
