Hi,
I am using goldendict Linux portable edition in fedora 17.
I do have 4 groups in goldendict and keyboard shortcuts set for each of them. In popup, these shortcut keys work properly. But when I press the shortcut keys in the main window only the textarea, word list and the dictionary bar changes. The content area do not change (It continue to display results from the old group not the new one). So I have to press the keyboard shortcut and then select the word in the textarea and press enter to see the result.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. It is the same behavior as if you click and select in the group drop-down.
I understand that the behavior is inconsistent between the pop-up and main window, though.

Are you implying that it is intentional or just that it is the current behaviour?
Do we need that additional step in your poinion? Instead can't we just update the content whenever the combo box cchanges? In my view that will eliminate an unnecessary step.

I'm just saying that's the current behavior. Not sure if it's on purpose or not. In any case, you already created an issue in Github and it shouldn't be difficult to implement the "fix".

Now implemented in git.
