can not escape popup window

I am GD user under Linux and I defined popup window to show after pressing WIN key. When I want to leave this window I just move the mouse out of the frame or press ESC key. But sometimes it is not possible to use this way and I have to use combination of CTRL + c c. But the problem is I can not escape window after pressing ESC key. Is it a bug or an intention?
