bgl files with UTF-8 encoding

Postby panho10 » Fri Mar 26, 2010 10:15 pm

I've used self-made user glossaries(.bgl) in Babylon. GoldenDict doesn't display search results in some of my bgl files.
I found they were all encoded in UTF-8 format.

I need this format because all the contents in the dictionary consist of more than one East Asian languages(Chinese, Japanese, Korean) and only unicode system can display multilingual texts correctly.
Is there any solution?

Here is a sample which shows the same errors of the original dictionary.

Some bgl files downloaded from Babylon server also doesn't seem to make it in GoldenDict.
When I attempt to load this file into GD it crashes and terminates.

It seems you are using version 0.9.0. Use the latest GIT version.

Thank you so much. It solved all problems.
By the way it's somewhat confusing to find the latest version 'cause they're all Russian in the forum! haha :D
