dsl dictionary and illustrations

Postby farhadi » Fri Jan 01, 2010 5:10 pm

Hi,
Happy new year.

I am using GoldenDict with a dsl dictionary. some words in dictionary have illustrations too. I have images of these illustrations in a separate folder. but I don't know where should I place that folder so that GoldenDict can detect and display those images. already GoldenDict shows a question mark image instead of illustrations.

Thanks in advance

I got it.
I placed all images just beside my dsl file (not in a separate folder).

Thanks for GoldenDict. it really rocks.
Keep up the good work.

If you have a lot of images, it is also quite useful to compress them into a standard ZIP archive, name the archive properly and put it in the same directory where the dsl file is.

Like this:

dictionary.dsl -- your dictionary
dictionary.dsl.files.zip -- your archive with images

Much cleaner, and for huge dictionaries with lots of data it is quite faster too.

You're right. in that way other files were lost among images.
Thanks.
