linux directory location of config file

i have received suggestions on restoring the double pane in goldendict app. although it wotked once, i lost double pane when restarting and could no longer restore through the gui.
there must be a setting ina config file in linux sise. does anyone know location and name of file? maybe the setting too?

You can right-click the toolbar area and choose to enable double-pane there.

The config file is ~/.goldendict/config. Should all else fail, you can erase the mainWindowState section there.

thanks ikm for that info. a hiddenfile right at / . cool.
but the only entries were for paths and soundir. any idea what would the entry be for double pane?

It IS all there, in the config file. If you can't find it, just erase that file -- that'd revert everything back to defaults.

In any event I did delete the config file, shut down the n800, powered it up and tried the application again and still had the same problem. Really strange. I deleted goldendict and haven't had the chance to re-install since last night. I will keep you posted. Thanks for your help so far...

Just open the console and do:

Code: Select all
rm ~/.goldendict/config

This must do the trick.
