GD doesn't recognise Sound Folder

Postby bugmenot1 » Mon Oct 01, 2018 3:42 pm

Hi, I'm trying in many way to get the sounds working with GoldenDict, but I'm failing. The dictionary I'm using is a .dsl. And I have a folder with the sounds in .wav format. How should I proceed to make GD read them? The only working way I've found till now is to extract all the wav files in the main directory of the dictionary, but it's not good at all. There are more than 70.000 files. Moving them around (like on my smartphone) takes hours... Do you have any suggestion? Thanks!

Looking in the forum, I've found the solution and fixed my mistake..

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2501&p=10903&hilit=wav+files#p10903

The solution was to add dsl in the file name.

If the dictionary name is XXX.dsl

The corresponding sound folder must be named XXX.dsl.files.zip

Instead I was trying XXX.files.zip and many other wrongs formats...

Hope it can be useful to others too
