Description of file formats

I have obtained one dictionary that comes with the following files. can anyone please describe the purpose of each file?

*some dictionary*.bmp
*some dictionary*.dde
*some dictionary*.dsl
*some dictionary*.dsl.dz
*some dictionary*_abrv.dde
*some dictionary*_abrv.dsl
*some dictionary*_abrv.lsd

Dictionary annotation. GolddenDict show it content in window "Dictionary info".

*some dictionary*.bmp

Dictionary icon.

*some dictionary*.dde

Log of Lingvo compiler for main dictionary file. Not needed for GD.

*some dictionary*.dsl

Main dictionary file.

*some dictionary*.dsl.dz

Same main dictionary file compresses into Dictzip format. GD needs only one main file either uncompressed or compressed.

*some dictionary*_abrv.dde

Log of Lingvo compiler for abbreviations file. Not needed for GD.

*some dictionary*_abrv.dsl

Dictionary abbreviations file. GD show popup hints over abbreviations based on this file.

*some dictionary*_abrv.lsd

Dictionary abbreviations file compiled into Lingvo format. Not usable in desktop GD.
