Get dictionary from wiktionary

Hello !

I need some dictionary like german->french, french->german etc... I have already download some dictionaries but I'd like to use diktionary from wiktionary, because it is really clear and complet.

Do you know how I could download a dictionary from a language to an other and convert it in startdict format ?

GoldenDict supports the AARD format. There are version of wikipedia and wiktionary available in this format here: http://aarddict.org/dictionaries/index.html
In that page there is also links to tools to create your own dictionaries from MediaWiki content.

However, I've a question : how can you choose the input/output languages ? I saw on this page :

a lot of files (I think the good one is page-article, as said here : https://github.com/aarddict/tools/issues/15), but it will download and print all languages no ? Can we select only the languages we are interest in ?

Honestly I don't know. I haven't used the tool myself.

Ok.

I began to compile the dictionary... but it will last 10 hours !!! Amazing ! Maybe I took the wrong file... If someone has a way to way to compile faster and to remove some languages, please tell me !

I think I've a wrong GoldenDict version because it doesn't recognise my little .aar test file... I'll try to download it from git.
