I would like to add wordreference dictionary searches in goldendict, but I cannot figure out how to do it. I tried the following. I did a search for the word palavra, and got the link http://www.wordreference.com/pten/palavra and then created a link in goldendict by replacing palavra in the above link with %GDWORD%. But this does not seem to work. I would appreciate if someone could show me the correct procedure.

It actually does work, but not very reliably. Most of the times all I can see is a blank page with no text. But if combined with some other web-based dictionaries (Wikia in my case) in the same group, then from time to time I do see the definitions

I've seen this pattern in the past as well. Some web sites work just fine and some others are empty unless there are some other web dictionaries are enabled on the same group (and the result varies, with some additional web dictionaries everything works, with some other still only empty pages).

Hi, I am trying use the wordreference dictionaries but I can't. I am behind a institutional proxy, but it seems be working because I can access to other web dictionaries. Any idea? Thanks!

WordReference as a web dictionary does not work with GoldenDict. It's a known issue: https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/issues/97
If you need to setup a proxy server go to Edit > Preferences > Network.
