IPA phonetics don't show correctly after conversion bgl>dict

Hi guys,

i just converted a few bgl dictionaries that i bought back in the former days, when babylon was still a good translation software.

I used stardict-editor on Xubuntu 14.04 (in VirtualBox) to convert the bgl file to .babylon and then to stardict (dict, idx, ifo) and basically everything converted fine, but the IPA phonetics, that is, certain symbols show only 4-digit numbers followed by a semicolon like: 00B7; 0254; 0259; 0323; 3008; 3009; etc

I understand that they are some sort of placeholder for the actual IPA phonetic symbol (for example: ə, ɔ...) as well as for the angle brackets ⟨ ⟩ in my german-dutch dictionary that can't be properly displayed, because upon direct comparison between the dict and bgl file (see pictures attached) the actual symbol is shown only in the bgl file.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

thanks in advance,
best regards, sltyrol
