I don't get it. .mdd without .mdx is useless...

It can use to pronounce like .lsa file or .zips file (mdict have some .mdd file to pronounce it usually in a "audiolib" folder.)

I've tested the latest two test builds and find a mdict support problem with both versions. It concerns one specific mdict dictionary, "Oxford learner's Thesaurus". Entries in the dictionary show up nicely-formatted in mdict but lose all the formatting in GoldenDict, as illustrated in the following pictures.

Thanks for reporting, I've opened a pull request for that: https://github.com/goldendict/goldendict/pull/289

as timonwong said, there is some problem of Mdxbuilder original.
What you need to do now is:
1) Use the "Getdict.exe" (versione: 2.6 +) to get the original files within .mdd;
as this case, you will get a file .css
2) make another file within the document, because "A .mdd which there is only one file" would be show wrong
and rebuild a new .mdd

Thanks for your reply. So as I understand it, what I need to do is to (1) extract the original .css file out of the .mdd file and (2) add in a second file and together with the extracted .css file, combine them into a new .mdd file using mdxbuilder, because goldendict won't recognize a mdd that contains only one file, right? But what file shall I include with .css file when rebuilding the .mdd? any dummy file will do? and where can I download the getdict.exe (version 2.6+)? All I can get is the 2.3 version which does not support extracting .mdd files. Thanks.

Guys, the Mdict fix has been integrated (thanks to Timon Wong), and I'll post the updated binary shortly for you to try.

encyclopedia, it is still recommended to adjust the CSS style that comes with that dictionary, since it contains lots of garbage inside, changing styles for other dictionaries as well.
