[ATTENTION] Please, update your localizations

Postby Tvangeste » Mon Jan 07, 2013 9:45 am

Hi folks!

It seems that the new release should not be that far, there was a huge amount of awesome changes in GoldenDict since the release 1.0.1 and sooner or later there will be a new release.

And it would be really nice to have up-to-date translations/localizations for all the languages that we support. Currently, there are 24 *.ts files in locale folder. Some of them (3-4 at the moment) are about 100% complete. The rest is unfinished, and since some of the code changes affected most of menus (adding accelerators, for example), these unfinished localizations are immediately visible to the user.

Please, update your localizations to make GD even more awesome for many users around the globe! :)

Just in case, here's the very latest GoldenDict binary (freshly built from the latest Git repository), with all the latest localizations:

Goldendict-1.0.1-477-g2d02204: http://rghost.ru/42800171

(Just extract the contents of the RAR file on top of your EARLY ACCESS version, replacing the files).

WHOA! What have you done to the poor GoldenDict so that it shown like that? :)

Seriously, what's your setting for Interface -> Interface Language? And maybe you have right-to-left system setting and Qt uses it by default?

I haven't really done anything in that area (yet) :) So, are you saying that previous versions worked fine for you and this newer version suddenly started to show everything from right to left?

@Tvangeste, there are at least 3 texts that I cannot localize:
  • "Select All" from the context menu in articles.
  • "Copy" from the context menu in articles.
  • "Close Tab" tooltip for close button in a tab.
I have the latest qt_*.qm files. Any idea?

Check appropriate qt_*.ts files in QT source dir. It seems its have incomplete translations.

Indeed. I was able to translate "Copy" and "Close Tab" but not "Select All".

Thanks

The "Unassigned" group name is not internationalized.
