The Speaker button on lower left right corner is always inactive. What do I need to enable it? Could the "Lingoes English.zip" a valid source? After unzip, there are lots of mp3 files organised in folders of "A", "B"... one word a mp3 file.

No, right now the only supported sources are Lingvo .LSA files and the various .dsl/.lsd multimedia dictionaries. More is expected to come in the future versions.
